Web Design

These are my favorite projects from the past few years.

Intersection
for the Arts

Website Redesign

Roles:

  • Designer
  • Developer

Technologies Used:

  • Wordpress
  • MySQL
  • JavaScript/jQuery
  • HTML/CSS/PHP

A huge amount of information is distributed through Intersection, which made this project particularly challenging. The finished design includes multiple page options for specialized layouts and longterm flexibility. Part of this job included migrating their existing database into Wordpress format and building an archive for their older entries.

Projects

GRIDWALK LABS

A futuristic netlabel for technology based music.

In 2013 I launched Gridwalk Labs, a netlabel for publishing electronic music. The mission is to use cutting edge web technology to feature forward-thinking artists and musicians. We currently have six releases from three artists, and have several more in production.

The website was built as a single-page application centered around an HTML5 music player. The music player automatically advances between songs and albums, allowing continuous listening.

.GIFSLAP

An open-source VJ program made with JavaScript and .gifs.

.gifSlap is a live visual performance tool that I began developing in March 2013. It uses JavaScript to continuously manipulate .gifs on the DOM, which can be controlled with the mouse/keyboard and MIDI. Performances can be recorded with music, saved as data and replayed. The online version allows users to upload and save their own sets of .gifs and switch between them on the fly. The project is in ongoing development. Check VCO_Vault for upcoming performances and demos.

MUSIC PROJECTS

The Spectrum Electric

A two-man project focusing on producing high-quality electronica albums as well as memorable live experiences.

Eurostache

An experimental psychadelic performance group centered around audio manipulation, found sound, circuit-bending and sometimes theatrics.
